We Share the Same Skies ‘We share the same skies’ presents a series of graphite drawings, exploring the superstitions, fears and symbolism associated with birds, humans and death. Drawing inspiration from folklore and the mythology connected to birds as psychopomps, and their role as mediators between the conscious and unconscious. The delicate tones of the pencil work provide a stark contrast to the darker subject matter, and the drawings serve as a ‘memento mori’ - a reminder of the shortness and fragility of life.
